Twenty Twelve
John Morton wrote and directed the BBC television comedy series Twenty Twelve. The show, which stars Hugh Bonneville, Jessica Hynes, and Amelia Bullmore, is a satirical on-location documentary about the London 2012 Summer Olympics. It was first shown on BBC Four in March 2011 to coincide with the 500-day countdown to the opening ceremony. Twenty Twelve received mostly excellent reviews from critics, and a four-part second series was confirmed on 15 April 2011, which premiered on BBC Two on 30 March 2012. On July 10, 2012, three more episodes of Series 2 premiered. The final episode of the series aired on July 24, 2012, three days before the opening ceremony of the London Olympic Games.
