The Newsroom

The Newsroom is a Canadian television comedy drama series that ran on CBC Television at the 1996--97 04 and 2004--05 seasons. Escape from the Newsroom, A two-hour television movie, was broadcast in 2002. The series is set in the newsroom but is understood to be based on the CBC itself. Inspired by American show The Larry Sanders Show and similar to such earlier show as the British Drop the Dead Donkey and the Australian front line, the show mined a dark strand of comedy from the political machinations and the utter incompetence of those people involved with producing City Hour, the channel's nightly newscast. Although not intended as a continuous series, the run of 13 episodes led The Newsroom to grow into one of their programs on Canadian television in the 1990s. Adhering to end of this Newsroom, Finkleman produced three distinct jelqing string including Foreign Objects , More Tears, Foolish Heart and the CBC, most of which comprised Findlay as a personality.
