Robinson Ekspeditionen is a popular reality-television program debuting in 1998. TV3 purchased the broadcast rights to broadcast their particular model of Expedition Robinson. Observing success of the version, Denmark was the first country to consider their own version of the series. The series has turned out to be an indicator victory since its premiere in 1998. The name alludes to Robinson Crusoe and The Swiss Family Robinson, two stories comprising people marooned by shipwrecks.
