Starring Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd as private detectives, the series was a blend of drama, humor, and love, and has been regarded as one of the first influential and successful types of comedy drama, or even"dramedy", emerging as a different television celebrity. The show's theme song was performed with jazz singer Al Jarreau and turned into a winner. The series can be credited with making Willis a celebrity, while still providing Shepherd using a important success after having a series of projects.
