Life of Crime

Life of Crime revolves around a female officer called Denise Woods. Set throughout a period of three years (starting with all the Brixton Riots of 1985), the drama follows Denise as she climbs through the ranks of the Metropolitan Police Service. She initially struggles in an profession where sexism is rife and officers must struggle to be accepted. But September morning, as one breaks, Denise accompanies DS Ray Deans to some crime scene to discover the battered, bruised and strangled body of teenager Anna. With a previous encounter Denise is determined to bring the killer of Anna to justice. Denise follows her own lines of enquiry whilst the conditions of the murder of Anna aren't exactly what they appear and works against the crystal very clear instruction and advice of her officers. Whilst the enquiry advances Denise's fervor for that case directs her to fall foul of her older officer, DCI Ferguson.
