A Woman Called Moses
A Woman Called Moses is a television miniseries based on the story of Harriet Tubman, an escaped African American slave who helped build the Underground Railroad and escorted scores of African Americans from enslavement in the Southern United States to freedom in the Northern states and Canada. The production, which was narrated by Orson Welles, aired on the NBC television network on December 11 and 12, 1978. Cicely Tyson, an Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee, portrayed Tubman.
