Seat in Shadow
Albert, an eccentric Glasgow painter who doubles as an unusual, Jung-inspired psychiatrist, is introduced to young Ben by his grandma when he's experiencing relationship problems once more. It's Albert who learns the most from their sessions in this twisted comedy of sexual humor. Seat in Shadow" was written and directed by Henry Coombes, who shot the film on location in Glasgow. In addition to the Edinburgh International Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival, the film was also shown at the British Film Institute's BFI Flare event. One in which the lines between artist and muse and doctor/patient grow increasingly permeable as the story progresses.
