Le Grand Pardon

The Bettoun family is a family clan of Jewish Blackfoot kingpins of French organized crime, consisting of Raymond (the patriarch), Maurice (the son), Jacky (the nephew), Roland (the nephew), Albert (Raymond's cousin), Pépé (Raymond's comrade), and Samy (the bodyguard). They engage in illicit gambling, running casinos, staging underground boxing fights, pimping, racketeering, and bloody score-settling with rival Arab and French clans, among other activities. Pascal Villars, though, has vowed that the Bettoun will be lost in the shadows. He will be successful in pitting the Jewish clan against the Arab clan, greatly assisting police commissioner Duché, who has been striving fruitlessly for ten years to overthrow the Bettouns.
