Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie

Place in a futuristic Japan after the conclusion of a world war that was barbarous, science has advanced lending humanity the decision. Together with humanity linked into one system of minds and characters called ghosts, the greatest threat to civilization may be the cyberterrorists capable of imitating people's bodies and memories. Major Motoko Kusanagi and her elite group of special operatives are called in to track down its origin, when a ghost-infecting virus begins spreading through the machine leading to the assassination of the Japanese Prime Minister. Because they delve deeper and deeper in their investigation, they discover traces of government corruption and also a broker that bears an all-too-familiar face. The film is a continuation to the plot of this Pyrophoric Cult episode of Arise, and ties up loose ends from this arc.
