Everything Is Cinema
Chris, a young and aspiring independent filmmaker from Kerala, becomes motivated by Louis Malle's documentary Calcutta, which was released in1969, and he has the goal of producing the updated version of the film on his own. For the purpose of working on his documentary, he relocates to Kolkata with his wife Anita, who is also an actor in movies. While the production of the documentary is already well under way, an outbreak of the Corona virus occurs in India, and his producer refuses to release the money that he had previously agreed to hand over. Chris and Anita are confined to the leased apartment in Kolkata for the duration of the lockdown that has been ordered by the government. Chris makes the decision to make a film about his own marriage without Anita's knowledge in order to release the pent-up anger that he has been holding in.
