Hamlet in the Golden Vale
A business of actors arrive deep in the countryside and also put the narrative of the Hamlet of Shakespeare. The lives of those actors and their characters intertwine as Prince Hamlet confronts the ghost of his own father and seeks revenge over the Claudius, his uncle and king. Hamlet's pursuit of vengeance scorches the lives of everyone else and lays bare the contradictions and ambiguities of human presence. At the ending of the play, a week have passed and also the actors emerge, leaving the castle characters behind.
