The story of Asbury Park, a town that has had trouble for a long time, and how music can bring people together. Asbury Park was once a famous seaside resort, but it caught fire during a summer of civil unrest. This destroyed the town for the next 45 years and turned it into a slum. The riot, which happened in a town that was literally split in half by a set of railroad tracks, destroyed the famous jazz and blues scene on the Westside. However, from the ashes of the burning city came the famous Jersey sound.
